“Don’t Feed The Birds “ A solo show at KHN center in Nebraska City

This work is a collection of moments and found objects. Moments captured so they are never forgotten. Treasure documented before it is discarded by time. Some of these moments are day-to-day life while others are a glimpse at adventure. Keeping track maps years passing to visit when memory pulls. These moments are given new life through the cyanotype solar fast process. Sometimes bursting with joy and at other times feeling like we are on the edge of disaster.

I am a photographer specializing in alternative process photography in Lincoln Nebraska. I love experimenting with different materials in order to create one of a kind imagery and processes. This process involves creating color separation negatives in CMYK and printing all of them except for the black layer. I use Jaquard solarfast to print the yellow and magenta layers and last a layer with the cyanotype process to bring out the cyan layer. This piece is a 9 panel piece allowing me to work with alternative photography in a much larger scale creating 3'x5' prints.
